Predators end streak with loss in volleyball playoffs

Chesterfield High School eliminated Fox Creek from the Class A volleyball playoffs Monday evening, ending a 14-game winning streak in the process, with scores of 25-23, 13-25, 25-21 and 25-21.
"They snuck it in there on us," said Megan Jackson, Fox Creek's coach, whose squad went 14-0 in region play, winning most of its games in blowout fashion. Chesterfield went 5-5 in its region.
"I think that our senior, Danielle Payne, played outstanding tonight," Jackson added. "She put the fear of God into some of those girls, and I think next year, we'll be great because we'll have a lot of girls who are playing a little bit more in the off-season, and they'll get a lot more experience."
