Lavinder-Waack vows exchanged in Delta, Ohio


Miss Whitney Alane Waack became the bride of Mr. Nicholas Lee Lavinder on Nov. 1, 2008, at Shiloh Christian Church, Delta, Ohio. The Rev. Nick Tule, brother-in-law of the bride, officiated at the 3:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Alan Waack of Wauseon, Ohio.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Cuff and Mr. and Mrs. Trent Lavinder, all of Fayette, Ohio.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown of white tissue taffeta with pickup gathers on the skirt and train and a crystal and beaded corseted bodice. Her 3-tiered cathedral veil, attached to a crystal tiara, was scattered with crystals and matched her jewelry. She carried a bouquet of 18 white roses surrounded by accents of green hypericum berries and white stephanotis, tied in satin ribbon and pinned with a crystal letter "L" charm. Vintage handkerchiefs belonging to the late grandmothers of the bride's mother and groom's stepmother were tucked into the bride's garter.
Mrs. Kendra Batdorf, sister of the bride, Wauseon, Ohio, was the matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Hayley Tule, sister of the bride, Wauseon, Ohio; Ms. Lauren Bishop, West Unity, Ohio; Ms. Aleasha Kelly and Ms. Breena O'Neil, both of Fayette, Ohio. They wore chocolate brown tissue taffeta gowns, featuring pickup gathers and pink satin ribbon sashes. Each carried long-stemmed bouquets of fuchsia and light pink gerbera daisies tied with chocolate brown satin ribbon.
Little Miss Lola Adriana, daughter of the bride, was the flower girl. She wore an organdy halter gown with sweep train and a gerbera daisy in her hair. Honorary flower babies were 8-week-old Karsyn Kennedy Lavinder, daughter of the couple, and 6-week-old Ella Clare Tule, niece of the bride, wearing identical white organdy dresses with matching bonnets.
Ring bearers were Masters Chase Moats of Fayette, and Benjamin Tule, nephew of the bride, of Wauseon.
Best man was the groom's brother, Chad Lavinder of Fayette, Ohio. Groomsmen were Justin Rodriguez, Timo Salinas, David Sallows and Ben Sly, all of Fayette, Ohio. Ushers were Jason Batdorf, brother-in-law of the bride, of Wauseon, Ohio, Seth Lavinder, brother of the groom, and Sam Beers, both of West Unity, Ohio.
A reception was held following the ceremony at the Delta Legion. The guestbook was attended by Heather Cuff and the program was attended by Allsion Cuff, sisters of the groom and both of Fayette, Ohio.
The groom's aunt, Trisha Crowell of Ft. Wayne, Ind., gave a reading, "What Is Love," during the ceremony.
Steve and Brian Waack of Aiken deejayed the reception where the bride and groom surprised their guests by performing "Evolution Wedding Dance."
The bride's mother wore a chocolate brown satin full length gown, featuring a beaded strapless bodice under a satin bolero jacket. The groom's mother wore a full length burgundy satin 3-piece gown accented with gold trim. The groom's stepmother wore a full length crepe gown in champagne trimmed with bugle beads. They each wore a corsage of pink gerbera daisies.
The couple took a short honeymoon to a local resort and are planning a trip for a later date.
They will reside residing in Fayette, Ohio.
Honored grandparents attending the ceremony were Mr. Patrick Waack, of Aiken, Mrs. Helen Peebles of Lyons, Ohio, and Winter Haven, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Keith Harding of Toledo, Ohio, and Mrs. Karen Lavinder of Fayette, Ohio.
Out of town guests attending were Steve and Janice Waack of Aiken, Mr. Patrick Waack, Mrs. Connie Stevenson, all of Aiken, Mr. Brian Waack of Myrtle Beach and Mr. William Waack of Denver, Colo.
