Bradford-Jones vows said in Manning

Laura Merrell Jones of North Augusta and James Edward Bradford of Augusta, Ga., were united in marriage Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Manning. Dr. Randy Cooper and the honorable Thomas Witherspoon Cooper Jr. officiated at the 10 a.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Blackwell Jones of Manning and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Rou Jones of Manning and Mrs. Dibby Schaefer Manuel and the late Maurice Franklin Manuel of Browntown, Va.
The bridegroom is the son of Col. (Ret.) and Mrs. Jack Edward Bradford of Evans, Ga., and the grandson of late Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Sittler Pearson of Fort Smith, Ark., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Bradford of Marshall, Ark.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an ivory sleek satin, strapless gown with a trumpet gown with Swarovski crystal beadwork on the front of the waistband and a full bow and sash along the pleated back, falling into a semi-cathedral length train.
The matron of honor was Nancy Margaret Jones Harkins. Flower girls were Anna Kathryn Dubose, Anna Grace Grattan, Lauren Taylor Gambrell, Riley Elizabeth Morris and Hanna Elizabeth Steinig.
The best man was Lt. Col. (Ret.) Jeffrey Allen Bradford along with best son James Edward Bradford Jr. Ushers included Robert James Harkins, Frank Blackwell Jones Jr. and Brent Hubert Morris.
A brunch celebration was given by the bride's parents.
The rehearsal party was given by the bridegroom's parents.
Music at the ceremony was provided by Kathy Gatlin, organist.
Following a trip to Mexico, the couple will reside in North Augusta.
The bride is a graduate of Lander University with a Bachelor of Science in marketing and management. She is employed as a sales representative for Sepracor Inc. Pharmaceuticals.
The groom earned a Bachelor of Science in finance and economics from Augusta College and is employed as a financial adviser for Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.
