Local talent sweep fair pageant


All three winners in the Miss Georgia-Carolina State Fair competition are young women from the North Augusta area.
Lindsay Garrick was crowned Miss Georgia Carolina State Fair for 2009. She is the daughter of Lynn and Tony Garrick of North Augusta. First runner-up was Lauren Rickabaugh, daughter of Dan and Lynn Rickabaugh. Second runner-up is Lacey Ferguson, daughter of Len and Alice Ferguson.
All three girls are students at North Augusta High School.
Lindsay is a senior and plans to pursue a career in neonatal nursing. Her hobbies include water sports and volunteering. By winning the title, she received the crown, a trophy, a bouquet of red roses, and a check for $750, and she will represent the Georgia-Carolina State Fair in the statewide competition in Atlanta in January 2010. She will also make appearances in and around the CSRA and assist the Exchange Club of Augusta in its endeavor to make the CSRA a better place to live.
