Miss Walker, Mr. Smith wed at First Baptist
Miss Kella Elizabeth Walker and Mr. Herman Mitchell Smith, both of Aiken, were united in holy matrimony on March 7, 2009, at First Baptist Church, North Augusta. Dr. Gary Clark Redding officiated at the 6 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Don and Donna Walker of North Augusta. The groom's parents are Herman and Brenda Smith of Leesville.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Miss Jennifer Anne Mojave and Miss Jessica Irene Kiser, both of Hoboken, N.J., as her maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Jenna Nicole Boyd, Mrs. Kathy Kennedy Potter and Miss Megan Elizabeth Stone, all of Charleston, Miss Kimberly Michelle Norris of North Augusta, Mrs. Kristen Walker Stephenson of Sugar Hill, Ga., and Miss Deborah Kathleen Walker of Columbia.
Mr. Derek Michael Weaver was the best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Kullen Eugene Boling of Chapin, Mr. Michael Steven Galasso Jr. of Swedesboro, N.J., Mr. William Derek Harmon of Lexington, Mr. Matthew Herbert Stephenson of Sugar Hill, Ga., and Mr. Matthew Rutz Hayes, Mr. Jason Aaron Holt and Mr. Alexandros Henry Steller, all of Aiken.
Ushers were Mr. Matthew Lee Cromer of Anderson, Mr. Derrick Lee McLane of Charleston, Mr. Michael Patrick O'Leary of Charlotte, N.C., and Mr. Timothy Donald Watskovitz of Fort Mill.
A reception was held at The Boat House in Augusta, Ga. Miss Amber Arie Holcomb of Aiken kept the bride's book. Program attendants were Miss Jennifer Britton Norris of Columbia and Miss Ashley Nicole Mercer of Harlem, Ga. Mrs. Stephanie Kelley Holt was the reader.
Following a wedding to Sandals Resort, Jamaica, Mr. and Mrs. Smith are making their home in Aiken.
