Miss Amanda Carolyn Doolittle of Modoc became the bride of Mr. Otis Andrew Willis of Parksville on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at the Church of the Most Holy Trinity in Augusta. The Rev. C. Alexander McDonald, the Rev. Timothy M. Lijewski and Deacon Robert Hookness officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Timothy Doolittle of Modoc. The groom's parents are Ms. Donna Willis of Parksville and Mr. Frankie Willis of Plum Branch.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless, mermaid gown with corset closure and ruched bodice extending below the waist. The gown was pearl taffeta embellished with champagne beaded lace and sequins. Her veil was pearl tulle with satin trim extending beyond the gown's train. After removing her veil for the reception, the bride added a pearl bolero featuring champagne beaded lace and sequins. She carried a bouquet of crîme roses.
Miss Suzanne Amaker was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Catherine Covar; Miss Sara Ruth Dixon, cousin of the bride; Mrs. Brittany Hill; Mrs. Ashley Turner, cousin of the bride; Miss Joanna Willis, sister of the groom; and Mrs. Meghan Wood. The attendants wore luminescent taffeta strapless gowns with a ruche bodice and draped drop waistline. They carried a bouquet of mixed fall-colored roses and calla lilies with stems of berries.
Mr. James Hodges Jr. was the best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Dan Covar, Mr. Travis Doolittle, Mr. Jeremy Hodges, Mr. Lewis Turner, Mr. Tank Walker and Mr. Austin Wood.
A reception was held at The Marbury Center, Augusta, Ga.
The couple honeymooned in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and will reside in Edgefield.
