Patriot reflections
The Patriots are headed to another state championship this Friday night. The football team will compete in the SCISA 8-Man championship game for the second year in a row. The game will be played in St. Matthews against Patrick Henry Academy. Be sure to come out and support the Patriots as they work to repeat last year's victory!
The FCA will be sending about thirty students to the Fall Middle School Beach Retreat in Garden City. They will depart after the football state championship game this Friday night. Ms. Trudi Belcher will be sponsoring the trip. These students have been working very hard to earn money for this trip by having cake raffles at each home football game. Keep these students and their chaperones in your prayers as they travel to Garden City seeking to draw their hearts closer to the Lord.
The FCA is also sponsoring a powder-puff football game this month. All girls in grades six through twelve are encouraged to play. The proceeds will go towards sending the high school students to Garden City in the spring.
The ninth grade Communications class is sponsoring a drive to send care packets to our troops overseas. This project is being conducted under the guidance of Mrs. Warnken.
Basketball season will be here before you know it! All of the teams have already begun practicing. Both the varsity girls and boys will be playing in a jamboree at King Academy this Saturday, Nov. 14. The first regular season game will be December 1, at Augusta Christian. The middle school girls will begin at 4, and the middle school boys will follow. The varsity games will start when the middle school games conclude.
