Patriot reflections
The Fall Festival was a huge success! Many children even arrived in costumes. There was a haunted house, country store, cake walk, and much more! It was a great fundraiser for our school. "Thank you" to everyone who helped make this year's festival great!
The varsity football team will face Jefferson Davis this Friday night in the first round of play-offs. This game will be played at home and will begin at 7:30. The Patriots have had a great season so far, and they are hoping to become one game closer to the state championship game.
The Miss Wardlaw pageant will be held this Thursday, Nov. 5, in the gym. Be sure to come and watch girls in grades K4-12 compete to earn various titles. This Friday is a student holiday. It is a Teacher Development Day. The second six weeks concludes this Thursday, and students will receive report cards next Tuesday, Nov. 10.
Thanksgiving Break is right around the corner! Students will not come to school on Nov. 23-27. Everyone is looking forward to spending time with their friends and family, while not worrying about grading papers and studying for tests!
The lower school students are being introduced to Spanish by the students who are taking Mrs. Warnken's Spanish III class. Each student is assigned a different grade. They are responsible for having lesson plans for each week's class. They teach every Thursday. The students introduce important words and phrases. This is beneficial to the older and younger students.
The varsity volleyball team had the pleasure of designing their hard earned state championship rings last week. They met at lunch to discuss the way that they wanted their ring to look. They are all excited about their great accomplishment!
Be sure to check out our school website for pictures from all the events at Wardlaw and for more news and updates!
