The Bee's buzz
"Aaagghh, I didn't say pink! I said green!" exclaimed a boy's voice. Hilarious laughter followed. You might've heard this if you were at the Hammond Hill Elementary carnival last Saturday, Oct. 10. The carnival was a blast for all, unless you were the boy with the pink hair.
Students could choose from a rainbow of colors including neon yellow, neon green, hot pink, purple, red, and blue. Also they could choose glitter in any color. There were lots of other fun games like a rock wall, a bean bag toss, ring throw, and best of all, Ping, Pong Fish Throw! For this challenging game they had to throw a ping pong ball into a fish bowl to win a fish.
The carnival is a yearly event for the Hammond Hill Elementary community. Volunteers, including school staff and former Hammond Hill students, graciously attended the booths.
This year the carnival's proceeds went toward the school, the school's technology fun and to help bring New York Times best-selling author Michael Buckley to Hammond Hill. Thanks to all the people who made it a smashing success.
