The Creek speaks
We have been learning lots of fun things about science at Mossy Creek. We went on a field trip to the SRS Ecology Lab and saw many different animals. We saw a huge rattlesnake, a big turtle, frogs and a pink snake. It was neat to watch them move. The snakes slithered fast!
We have also studied about insects at school. We learned about an insect's body parts. Then, we created our own insect from a toilet paper roll and other crafts. Some of our insects were colorful. We named our insects with a common name and a scientific name. We told what it would eat. We even weighed our insects and measured the length. Some were heavy but some were small. Our insects were cool!
We also studied peanuts and George Washington Carver. We talked about the differences of each peanut shell. Some are fat and some are skinny. It was fun to open them up and talk about the peanuts on the inside. We even got to eat them at the end. They were delicious. Our class loves peanuts!
We have fun doing activities at school. It is so fun to do activities. We are sure you would want to do it too. Come to Mossy Creek and you will see!
