The Bee's buzz

Do you want to know what we are learning in third grade?

First, in math we are all trying to answer 25 multiplication facts in one minute. This is difficult to do and we have to study hard. Next, we are learning all about geometry, including three dimensional shapes, polygons, lines and angles. Geometry is a good break from multiplication and division!

In science we are all learning about rocks and minerals. We are first observing and recording the properties of minerals and then we are using those properties to identify minerals.

Then in South Carolina History we are talking about the events that led up to the Revolutionary War.

In reading we are reading the story, "Sam and the Lucky Money," and all of the third grade teachers are challenging us to get 20 or more Accelerated Reader points so we can get our pictures on the AR board. Finally, we are also building our vocabulary by studying synonyms, antonyms and adjectives.

Now you know what we're learning in third grade.
