Belvedere Elementary
100 Book Club Members: Liberty King - K1, Aricka Moore - K2, Adree Warren - K3, Alyssa Swygert - K4, Esteban Zalduondo - 1E
Saturday, Jan. 23, is a grounds beautification day at Belvedere. From 8 to 11 a.m. volunteers will work on the front areas of the school as well as the garden areas.
Hammond Hill
Nan Hall organized a food drive to benefit Community Ministry of North Augusta. Students in the classes that collected the most cans received a coupon good for a free ice cream cone from Brusters. Winning classes were Ms. Mullan, Ms. Cameron, Ms. Williams, Ms. Mauldin, Ms. Pope and Ms. Richardson.
There will be a mother/son bowling night on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. Following that is a father/daughter dance from 7 to 9 p.m.
Mossy Creek
Class pictures are Jan. 22.
Hop ... Skip ... Jump, the second annual Mossy Creek Health Fair is set for Tuesday, Feb. 9, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. A variety of vendors will be on hand to give information on individual and family health options. Aiken Regional Medical Centers will offer blood pressure and blood sugar screenings. North Augusta Public Safety will have Identikid kits for children. Clemson Extension will provide nutritional talks. Hope House representatives will speak about drug prevention.
Also on hand will be dentists doing screenings for adults and children, giveaways and the Mossy Creek Stacking Club and Pep Squad providing entertainment.
Fifth grade classroom spelling bee winners were Ryan Waltob, Carrington Sherlock, NaKema Charles, Katelyn Holiday, Flynn Antonacci, Tiara Smith, Danny P. Sherlock, TJ Gillespie, Garrett Whitfield, Clayton Headrick, Mitchell Barefield and Brooke Tipton.

NAMS
The NAMS Black History Program will be on Feb. 19 at 9 a.m. in the gym.
H1N1 shots will be given on Thursday. If you have questions, call the school at 442-6200.
The NAMS Science Fair will be Tuesday, Feb. 23.
All sixth grade students will be required to compete and seventh and eight graders are encouraged to participate.
A Valentine Dance will be on Feb. 12. Permission slips will be sent home at a later date. The dance will start at 3:30 p.m. until 5 p.m.
