19th annual Augusta Greek Festival
Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Augusta will host its 19th annual Augusta Greek Festival Oct. 9 through 12 in downtown Augusta. This will be the second consecutive year that the festival will be held as a four- day event.
The Greek Festival will feature authentic Greek cuisine and Hellenic culture through its assortment of traditional foods and pastries, live music and dance performances provided throughout the entire weekend. The Greek market will be filled with imported jewelry, gifts and more!
This year The Fabulous Grecian Keys will perform live at the Augusta Greek Festival; Troupe Hellas from Atlanta will be performing Hellenic dance.
Entertainment will be for all festival-goers as there will be a children's play area and free balloons!
The festival's Greek Taverna will show football games live on Saturday and Sunday on the big screen while Greek style wings will be cooked fresh on the grill!
Learn about Eastern Orthodox Christianity and Church history during one of the many Church tours that will be conducted throughout the Festival weekend; and be sure to visit the Church book store for a vast variety of Biblical resources, books on Orthodoxy, Orthodox gifts, icons and more.
Dine in or take out with a "drive-thru" available again this year. Admission is free, parking is free.
In addition to church tours, there will be a video series broadcast featuring: Church History, Hymnology and Services.
Holy Trinity's Church bookstore will be open during the Festival as well and will have a vast variety of Biblical resources, books on Orthodoxy, Orthodox gifts, icons and more.
