119th Anniversary
Carey Hill Baptist Church will celebrate its 119th church anniversary this Sunday beginning with Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. worship service with holy communion.
The church service will be led by Pastor Clifford Williams and will feature the ordination of Brother Arthur Griffin, deacon's ministry.
Then at 2:30 p.m. the anniversary celebration will feature Bishop Rosa Williams and the Everfaithful Baptist Church of Augusta.
Dinner will follow that service at Carey Hill Resource & Conference Center, 1591 Edgefield Road.
'Down Under Summer'
Belvedere First Baptist Church continues a "Down Under Summer" for the family and for kids with a men's bake-off challenge, June 28 at 7 p.m.; hamburgers and games, July 8, 7 p.m.; Sunday Sundae, July 26, 6:30-8 p.m.; chicken and sides, Aug. 12, 7 p.m.; and gospel sing and fellowship, Aug. 30, 6 p.m.
The programs for children include "Jump Down Under," provided by Palmetto Jump Zone on Saturday, June 20, from 10 a.m. to noon; Riverbanks Zoo, Saturday, July 12, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (sign-ups required); Goop Day, Aug. 8, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

'Crocodile Dock' at HTLC
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church is again joining with Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church this time on a trip to "Crocodile Dock: Where Fearless Kids Shine God's Light" for Vacation Bible School this year through Thursday, June 25, 6-8 pm.
The church has been transformed into a backwoods bayou.
Children are encouraged to come and meet Jacques le Croc and his bayou buddies.
NA Baptist VBS
Vacation Bible School is being held at the North Augusta Baptist Church through Friday, June 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. nightly.
There are classes for all ages and everyone is welcome.

FBC 'Land down Under'
First Baptist Church, North Augusta, will visit the "Land Down Under" on the Boomerang Express during this year's Vacation Bible School June 22-26. Children ages 3 years through fifth grade will join in the fun from 9 a.m. to noon each day during the week.

HTLC takes boat tour
S.A.L.T. (Senior Adult Lutherans Together) at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will take a boat tour on the Savannah River on Thursday, June 25.
They will sail on the Patriot tour boat. Tour tickets are $12 and are purchased at the boat.
The group will eat lunch at a downtown restaurant prior to the boat ride.
The church van will leave Holy Trinity's parking lot at 11:15 a.m.

Movie night at OLP
Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church is hosting a Christian social evening for adults on Friday, June 26, at the OLP Annex.
The movie "Doubt" is based on a play written by John Patrick Shanley. This 2008 movie takes place in 1964 at a Catholic school in the Bronx. An enthusiastic priest (Phillip Seymour Hoffman) tries to change the school's strict customs that are fiercely guarded by Sister Aloysius (Meryl Streep). She believes in the power of fear and discipline. The battle between the Sister and the priest threatens to tear apart the Church and school.
Refreshments will be served beginning at 7 p.m. and the movie will start at 7:30 p.m. For more information, call the parish office at 279-0315.
July 4th BBQ
St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church will once again host a July 4th BBQ.
The take-out-only meal will be available from 9 a.m. to noon. Preorders may be made by calling 279-4622 or visiting www.stbart.org. Plates are $7 with a pound of meat costing $7.50 per pound, $7.50 for a quart a hash. Preorders are asked by June 29.
The church is located at 471 West Martintown Road in North Augusta.
Women's book club
First Baptist Church's women's book club will meet Saturday, June 27, at 9 a.m. at Sunrise Grill to discuss Francine Rivers' "Redeeming Love."

Pastor appreciation
The Jordan Grove Baptist Church will celebrate Pastor Appreciation Day with the Rev. Gary H. Hammond, who has been at the church for 27 years.
The celebration is set for Sunday, June 28, at 3 p.m.
The church is located at 1529 Railroad St., Augusta.
The Grace United Methodist Church's Children's Drama Camp is set for July 5-10 for children who have completed grades 1 through 5.
This year's play is entitled "Go, Go, Jonah."
The cost is $10, which covers T-shirts and all materials.

The Kids Praise Days Summer Music Camp, "Sermon on the Sound," begins Monday, July 20, and continues through Friday, July 24, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Registration has begun for the camp. Cost is $25 per person, which includes a T-shirt and snacks.
Solo and drama auditions are Wednesday, July 15, at 6 p.m. in the Mt. Sinai room of the Children's Learning Center.
The camp concert is set for Friday, July 24, at 7 p.m. in the church's worship center.
