Time to pay Belvedere Fire District fees
The Belvedere Fire District fire fee statements were mailed out on Dec. 15, giving property owners two extra weeks to pay the fees prior to the due date of Jan. 31, 2010.
The Belvedere Fire District commissioners have expressed their sincere wish that all property owners pay promptly by Jan. 31.
And if a property owner has any changes in property assessments and/or ownership to report, that owner is asked to call the Belvedere Fire District office at 279-5505, ext. 10.
LBC high school reunion for classes of '67, '68, 69
The LBC classes of 1967, 1968 and 1969 are having a joint high school reunion on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at the Augusta Marriott Hotel & Suites in Augusta.

Carriage rides offered at Hammond's Ferry
Hammond's Ferry will feature horse-drawn carriage rides from Aiken Horse and Carriage Company each weekend on Friday and Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. through Jan, 2, 2010. Tickets are available for $10 per person at Manuel's Cafe and Edge Salon.

Chamber of Commerce announces holiday hours
The Greater North Augusta Chamber of Commerce will be closed for the holidays on Dec. 23, 24 and 25 and again on Jan. 1.
Zoning appeals board meeting canceled
The regular meeting of the North Augusta Board of Zoning Appeals, which was scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, has been canceled. There are no applications for the panel to consider currently.
The February meeting is set for Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, if there are cases to be heard at that time.

North Augusta High College 101 features Augusta State
The January early release College 101 program at North Augusta High School will feature Augusta State University.
Rebecca White will explain admissions, scholarships and financial aid at Augusta State.
The program is open to anyone.
It will begin at 1:30 in the school auditorium on Jan 6.
