Just doin' his job
Mayor Lark Jones was in the office of City Clerk Donna Young in the middle of the day on Friday. When asked what he was doing there, he replied simply, "I'm mayorin.'"
Did you know ...
Word is that North Augusta City Clerk Donna Young was once named Miss Pascagoula, Miss.
Speaking of beauties
During the last meeting of North Augusta City Council, Mayor Lark Jones posed with the two beauty queens who were recognized. Lauren Rickabaugh, left, is the new Miss South Carolina American Coed, and Hannah Reese is the new South Carolina Junior Teen. Mayor Jones suggested if the girls stood by him for a photo op they might get in the paper. Or should that be the other way around?
