Traffic to and from Augusta is going to be a nightmare with the opening of the Taj Mahal of North Augusta. It's too bad the planners did not consider the soon to be realized traffic bottleneck at Georgia and Bluff avenues. If the talk about a baseball stadium and the development around the Fifth Street Bridge should materialize, the situation will be even worse. When Georgia Avenue has to be widened to accommodate the flow of traffic, I guess the historic old Heidelberg Inn will be history. Or maybe we will get to pay for another bridge somewhere between the Fifth Street Bridge and I-20.
