CUCUMBER MOUSSE

2 packages of lime gelatin; 2 packages of Knox gelatin; 5 large cucumbers; 1 cup of sour cream; 1 cup of Duke's mayonnaise; 2 tablespoons of lemon juice; 2 cups of ginger ale; Tabasco sauce.
Grate cucumbers; let drain for at least one hour, longer if time permits. Add enough water to the juice from the grated cucumbers to make 2 cups of liquid; dissolve the Knox gelatin in 1/4 cup of the liquid; heat the remaining 1-3/4 cups and dissolve lime gelatin with it.
Add sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, ginger ale and a heavy handed dash of Tabasco sauce. After mixture has cooled, add grated cucumbers. Pour into a large mold and refrigerate until thoroughly set.
PECAN PIE

1 cup chopped pecans; 1 cup dark brown sugar; 1 cup light corn syrup; one 9-inch pastry shell (uncooked); 3 eggs; 1/8 teaspoon salt; 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring; 1 tablespoon butter (melted).
Beat eggs until light, add sugar gradually, then syrup, salt, vanilla, butter and pecans. Pour into pastry shell and cook approximately 60 minutes in a preheated oven at 360 degrees. Crust should be light brown.
PLAINS SPECIAL CHEESE RING

1 pound grated sharp cheese; 1 cup finely chopped nuts (your choice I guess); 1 cup mayonnaise; 1 small onion, finely grated; black pepper; dash of cayenne; strawberry preserves, optional.
Combine all ingredients except preserves, season to taste with pepper. Mix well and place in a 5 or 6 cup lightly greased ring mold. Refrigerate until firm for several hours or overnight. To serve, unmold, and if desired, fill center with the strawberry preserves or serve plain with crackers.

The Harvard School of Medicine did a study to determine why married women love Chinese food so much.
The study revealed that this is due to the fact that "Won Ton" spelled backward is: "Not Now."
