Teens! How would you like to dye my hair a strange color? Yes, this summer I am sacrificing my hair to your hands! This year the library is holding its first 100,000 Pages to Dye. All you have to do is collectively read 100,000 pages. That's really not that much! All you have to do is enter the books, graph novels or magazines you've read that week in our weekly drawing. Fill out one of our purple slips with your name, the title of the book you've read and how many pages it had! At the bottom of the page is a place for you to put the color you choose -- either hot hot pink, shocking blue or purple haze.
When you enter your name into our weekly drawing you can possibly win GREAT PRIZES! That's right! We have tickets to Riverbanks Zoo and the South Carolina Aquarium in Charleston! We also have CDs by top Christian artists donated by WAFJ 88.3 to give away. Communigraphics donated a basket of great gifts that we are also giving away. Each week there are three winners and each winner gets a selection of coupons from Firehouse Subs, Chick-Fil-A and Adventure Crossing. We also have some prizes donated by Gary's Hamburgers and Captain D's still to give away!
All entries are then sent to our Headquarters and at the end of the summer they will all go into a giant barrel to be drawn from for a Nintendo DS with Super Mario game. That is a fantastic prize! The more you enter the better chance you have of taking home the grand prize!
Some of you may have noticed that my hair is looking a little lighter these days. I did that all for you! So when you hit 100,000 pages and Pink, Blue or Purple is locked in as the winning color, you will be able to see the funky color you choose to dye my hair! I would really like to see you win. I'd like to be able to come to the J-Man Band concert on the 21st of July and show off my lovely pink, purple or blue locks. The concert is at 7 p.m. on the 21st of July. Keep reading and don't miss out on your chance to change my hair color.
