Workshop on buying a house
Buying a house is one the largest investments most people make.
As a result, the team at Shannon Rollings Real Estate is offering a workshop entitled "5 steps to buyng a home in 45 minutes." The workshop is set for Saturday, Jan. 16, at 10:30 a.m. at the conference room in the Southern Bank and Trust located at 336 Georgia Ave. Southern Bank and Trust is hosting the event.
Among the topics to be addressesd are the qualifying process, making and negotiating an offer, home inspection and closing.
A qualified professional will be on hand to explain the $8,000 tax credit for first-time home buyers and the $6,500 tax refund for repeat home owners.
There will be giveaways.
