Dr. Watson: The oldest working physician in the U.S.
Dr. W.G. "Curly" Watson has been a fixture in the medical community for almost 70 years and is still working as he approaches in 100th birthday on Feb. 25.
As the chief of obstetrics and gynecology at University Hospital, Dr. Watson still goes into work every day. He rises each morning at 6 a.m. and drives from North Augusta to the Women's Center.

Hall of Fame to honor local sports achievers and standouts at banquet
Some of the most prominent names in the history of local sports are on the guest list Saturday evening at Grace United Methodist Church for this year's induction event for the North Augusta Sports Hall of Fame.
The annual banquet, to be held at the Wesley Center, is set for 6 p.m. The primary honorees will be Lee Sheridan, Ralph Sapp, Pat Collins and the late Paul Knox.
