Hannah Montana fans are preparing themselves for a marathon Saturday complete with 3-D action.

The buzz in many homes around Aiken County is Saturday's big event. Beginning at 2 p.m., the Disney Channel will air an afternoon marathon of Hannah Montana, culminating in the showing of "The Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert 3-D" movie, which sold record tickets in its one-week debut earlier this year.

According to reports, the 3-D concert film brought in more than $8.5 million on opening day and became the highest-grossing concert movie. "The Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert 3-D" will air on Saturday at 8 p.m. on the Disney Channel.

The concert features performances by Hannah Montana (played by Miley Cyrus), Miley Cyrus and special guests, the Jonas Brothers. The film documents the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus sold-out, 70-date Best of Both Worlds Tour.

For anyone tuning in, the movie will be presented in 3-D on television. In order to enhance viewing of the movie, 3-D glasses are available free of charge at both Wal-Mart locations in Aiken. You may pick them up at customer service at the Whiskey Road location and near register 5 at the Wal-Mart off Richland Avenue.

"The show, staged by 'High School Musical's' Kenny Ortega, is a slick mix of dancing, costume changes, pyrotechnics and patter, and the digital 3-D is excellent," reviewer Maitland McDonagh wrote. "The same can't be said for the muddy sound mix - exacerbated by the high-pitched squealing of pre-teen girls - that makes most of the lyrics incomprehensible. Not that it matters, since Cyrus fans know every word by heart."

Parents, be prepared by picking 3-D glasses and snacks up early. Go ahead and plan the slumber party since nearly every pre-teen girl will not want to miss this event.
