McKnight-Blocker
Janis McKnight and Norman McKnight of Far Rockaway, N.Y., announce the engagement of their daughter, April V. McKnight of Aiken, to Clinton Blocker Sr. of Aiken, a son of Lula Mae Blocker of Aiken and the late Curtis Blocker Sr. The wedding is planned for July 26, 2008, at St. John's Baptist Church, Langley.
The bride-elect is a maternal granddaughter of Rebecca Epps of Far Rockaway, N.Y., and the late Henry Epps. She is a 1991 graduate of Springfield High School, Queens, N.Y. She is attending Strayer University and is pursuing a business administration degree. She is employed by Tri-Development.
The bridegroom-elect is a maternal grandson of Cora Johnson of Aiken and the late Joseph Johnson and a paternal grandson of the late Louis and Mildred Blocker. He is a 1986 graduate of Far Rockaway High School, Far Rockaway, N.Y. He is attending the University of Georgia pursuing a degree in applied science. He is a teacher at Laney High School in Richmond County.
