In Memory of Scotty Richardson
Aiken Department of Public Safety Officer Scott Richardson died in the line of duty Dec. 21 from wounds he received when shot during a traffic stop.
Richardson, 33, will be memorialized Tuesday, Dec. 27 at noon at the USC Aiken Convocation Center.

We at the Aiken Standard stand with the rest of our community in mourning the loss of Aiken Public Safety officer Scotty Richardson. We are so fortunate to be served and protected by so many selfless heroes such as Officer Richardson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Edward Scott Richardson Children's Fund, Savannah River Banking Co., 407 Silver Bluff Road, in Aiken.
