Frances Berry Mathis
Entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, Ms. Frances Berry Mathis, 83, of Aiken, widow of the late Eddie Frank Mathis and daughter of the late Olen Berry Sr. and the late Ellen Clayton Berry. She is survived by a son, Phillip Cooper of Augusta; brothers, Olen "Buddy" Berry Jr. and his wife Patricia of Aiken and William "Bill" Berry of Chula Vista, Calif.; a son-in-law, Mark Williams of Aiken; three grandchildren, Shawn, Dawn and Raquel Williams; and several great-grandchildren. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She attended the River of Life Church in Aiken. A graveside service will be held on Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Graniteville Cemetery with Pastor John Zimmermann officiating. The family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 a.m. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
