Aiken Standard - Fall sports registration ends Sunday

A few days remain for registration in fall youth sports programs run by the North Augusta Department of Parks, Recreation and Leisure Services.

Sunday is the last day for sign-ups for football, cheerleading, soccer and girls volleyball (a late fee of $15 is applied after Sunday).

Football and cheerleading are open for kids who will be between the ages of 7 and 12 Sept. 1. The age range for soccer is 4-18 as of Sept. 1, and volleyball is for girls who are currently between fourth and 12th grades.

First-time participants in all sports must present a certified original birth certificate at registration.

Registration can be done via computer and at Riverview Park Activities Center, where operation hours are 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sundays.
