Thompson-Brown vows said in Aiken

Emily Taylor Brown of North Augusta became the bride of Sgt. Ira Whray Thompson of Summerville on Nov. 22, 2009, at the Victorian Wedding Chapel, Aiken. The Rev. Jerry Tindall performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Margaret Brown of North Augusta. She is the granddaughter of Margaret Phyllis Bulfinch and the late Robert Miller Bulfinch.

The groom is the son of Beverly Thompson and the late John Brantley Thompson Sr. of Summerville.

Given in marriage by her uncle, Mr. Colin Bulfinch, the bride chose her sister, Miss Haley Elizabeth Brown of North Augusta, as her maid of honor.

Command Sgt. Maj. Freddie Brock of Fort Belvoir, Va., was the best man.

Miss Madeline Elizabeth Widener of Aiken was the flower girl.

A reception was held at the Victorian Reception House.

Mr. and Mrs. Thompson will reside in Newport News, Va.

The bride is a 2007 graduate of North Augusta High School. She attends Aiken Technical College, pursuing a nursing degree. She is employed by Family Pharmacy in Aiken.

The groom is a graduate of Summerville High School. He is pursuing a degree in criminal justice. He is currently in the U.S. Army.
