Celebrating 50 years
Bill and Mary Lee Fowler will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 28. In honor of the occasion, their children sent them on a trip to Hawaii, the 50th state and the only state they had not visited during their 50 years of marriage. The anniversary couple have been residents of North Augusta for their entire married life, where they raised three children - Julie Fowler Rice, Laurie Fowler Crook, and Deborah Fowler McDonald, all of whom graduated from North Augusta High School. Bill retired from SRS in the 1990s, and the couple now enjoys traveling and spending time with their children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter.
