The Bee's buzz
On Oct. 16, 2009, the fourth grade of Hammond Hill Elementary School went to the North Augusta Living History Park. Here are some of the things we learned. First, we went to a station that was an old-time clown act. Andrea and I thought it was an outstanding show. The magnificent clown scared Andrea and me because he had fire in his hand. It was so scary! We did a big jump! Plus, he did other tricks that were astonishing.
Next we went to the Frenchman. He said that we were poor and he was supposed to be an aristocrat. He spoke a lot of French. We also went to a toy station. Now that was awesome. This man made toys out of wood like they used to do in the pioneer days. Some of the toys would climb or twirl. There was a gymnastic thing that would swing over a bar. That was our favorite.
Daniel Boone was nicer than anyone on the field trip. He told us that he played Daniel Boone on TV and all over the country. He gets to play probably the most famous explorer in the United States.
All in all, it was a great field trip, and we recommend it when anyone has time to go and check out the Living History Park!
