Miss, Mr. First Providence LDC chosen winners

First Providence Learning and Development Center held a Valentine's Day fundraiser that included the selection of Miss and Mr. First Providence Learning Development Center (FPLDC) plus the Grand Duke and Crown Prince of the group -- all students at the Learning Center.

Miss FPLDC is Amyah Washington, daughter of Orlando Washington II and Ashley James and the granddaughter of Orlando Washington Sr., Angela Washington and Janice Blocker. She attends First Providence Baptist Church. Amyah enjoys coloring, watching "Dora the Explorer," playing guitar, playing in the water.

Nicholas Turmon, Mr. FPLDC, is the son of Lasima Turmon and the grandson of Thomas and Angela Broadwater and Maggie Brown. Nicholas attends First Providence Baptist. He enjoys playing with his buddy, reading, playing guitar and drums, spending time with his PaPa and teaching his sister Kaleijah Psalm 23.

Cameron Williams, named Grand Duke, is the son of Van and Pamela Wade Williams and grandson of Betty Jean Wade of Langley, Mildred Williams of Blackville and Willie Williams of Williston. Cameron attends St. Phillip Baptist Church of Langley and Macedonia Baptist Church in Blackville. He enjoys playing with his brother, Carson, watching "Finding Nemo" and "Madagascar," playing with his toys and attending school.

And the Crown Prince is Josiah Hannah, son of Netra Harris and Clifton Hannah and the grandson of the Rev. and Mrs. Joseph Harris. Josiah attends Mealing Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoys football, basketball, wrestling and spending time with his PaPa.

The children were crowned Saturday night.
