A Schwinn bicycle with a flat basket rack was stolen on Stanton Drive between Oct. 8 and Nov. 8. It was described as olive-green and tan, and valued at $500.
A North Augusta man was arrested and jailed Nov. 8 on a charge of driving under the influence, after a wreck at Marshall Avenue and Martintown Road. He would not give a sufficient breath sample, repeatedly threatened the responding officer, performed poorly in sobriety tests and battered the inside of the police van while being transported to the county jail. He confirmed having consumed "two shots of liquor and five pitchers of beer."
A North Augusta woman, after being noticed driving erratically, was arrested and jailed Nov. 6, following a traffic stop in the parking lot of a business on Knox Avenue. She could not follow the instructions for a sobriety test and was found to have a blood-alcohol level of .20 percent. She was charged with driving under the influence.
Two vehicle thefts occurred on Nov. 4 or 5 on Knox Avenue. One vehicle, valued at $2,000, was described as a two-door, "anti-freeze green" 1982 Buick with Georgia tag AKB 9292. The other, also valued at $2,000, was described as a green 1991 Volvo 740 sedan with Georgia tag AWG 1044.
A North Augusta man was arrested and jailed Nov. 4 on a charge of driving under the influence, after a traffic stop at Georgia Avenue and Martintown Road. He failed sobriety tests and was found to have a blood-alcohol level of .13 percent.
An incident of larceny occurred between Nov. 1 and 3 on Briggs Avenue, with the theft of $823 that had been kept in an envelope in a dresser drawer. A local teenager is a suspect in the case.
A North Augusta man is a suspect in a Nov. 2 case of malicious injury to personal property, after an argument became intense and a car on Knox Avenue sustained $1,100 in damage.
A Nov. 2 burglary on Pisgah Road resulted in $9,520 in losses, including a 50-inch Vizeo flat-screen TV, two Gameboy video-game systems, cash, a Sony surround-sound speaker set, a Hewlett-Packard printer, a Nokia digital camera, prescription medications and jewelry (bracelets, earrings, necklaces and rings).
Merchandise valued at $1,300 was taken in a Nov. 2 burglary on Bradleyville Road. The loss included a 28-inch flat-screen TV, a 42-inch flat screen TV, an X-Box 360 game system and a Smith-and-Wesson .40-caliber pistol.
A vehicle break-in occurred on Breckenridge Drive Nov. 1 or 2. Taken were items valued at $1,260, along with $60 in cash. The criminal(s) also did $520 in damage to the vehicle, in stealing JL- and Kenwood-brand stereo equipment and a nylon tool bag with tools.
A North Augusta teenager was arrested and jailed Nov. 2 on a shoplifting charge, in connection with a backpack (stuffed with 55 items of merchandise) from a variety store on Knox Avenue. The attempted take was valued at $691.
A red 1995 Jeep Cherokee, valued at $3,000, was stolen on Breckenridge Drive Nov. 1. It bore Georgia tag BQ8 DCG.
A New Ellenton woman, after a Nov. 1 wreck at Knox and Georgia avenues, is a suspect in a case of driving under the influence.
