Chaplain's corner: Bearing fruit

We pruned the crape myrtle by removing seed pods which had been beautiful flowers. The clipping of this healthy tree paved the way for it to produce more lovely blooms because the cycle of productivity requires trimming on a regular basis. Blooming where we are planted is a positive response to inevitable changes, and this development happens when we put our minds to replacing bad habits with better patterns of living. Growth comes when we actively seek the guidance of the Master Gardener. "Every branch that does not bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful" (John 15:4).
