Aiken County Bar to hold charity golf event today
The Aiken County Bar will hold its second annual charity golf tournament today at Houndslake Country Club. Registration for the event will commence at 8 a.m., which will follow with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The cost for the even is $75 per player or $300 per four-player team. Hole sponsorships will cost $150. The maximum number of teams in the event is 32 and the tournament will enjoy a captain's choice format. Tournament costs inclub prizes, beverages and lunch. Aiken High School swim team holding signups Sunday
Signups for the 2009 Aiken High School swim team will be held Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at the Fermata Club. This will be a time to meet the coaches and receive all necessary paperwork including physical forms. Orders for suits and other team gear will be taken on this day as well. Junior Jackets basketball skill camp begins today
The Junior Jackets basketball skill camp begins today and will run through Thursday at the North Augusta Parks and Recreation Center. Boys and girls ages 7-11 will take the courts from 9 a.m. until noon. The cost will be $65. Girls ages 11-18 wil then take the court from 12:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. That camp will cost $70.
