Groups unite for Family and Fun day to raise money for Relay For Life team
Four local groups are joining together to bring the community a Family and Fun day.
On Saturday, Space Walk of Aiken, the Aiken Antique Power Association, the Central Riders - Relay For Life team and the Ladies of Center Community will host the first Family and Fun day.
Everything is free except for the concessions, which will be sold as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life team.
"This event came into existence with three of the four groups planning events around the same time, and we decided to place them all together so that we could have one big event instead of three different events in the same month," said Michelle Anderson of Space Walk.
The Aiken Antique Power Association is trying to spread the word that it is still in existence after the shut down of Farm Fest. The group will have an antique tractor and car show, kids pedal tractor pull and more. The Women of Center Community will host a benefit bake sale and provide activities for children.
The Relay For Life team will be in charge of the concessions as they help raise awareness about cancer.
Space Walk will set up all of its available inventory to include bounce and interactive inflatables for both children and adults to enjoy.
The all-day event begins at 9 a.m. and lasts until 4 p.m. and will be held at 1652 Wire Road.
