Eric Lane Wilson
WAYNE, Pa. -- Mr. Eric Lane Wilson of Wayne, Pa., formerly of Aiken, died of cancer on June 30, 2009, in Bryn Mawr, Pa. Mr. Wilson was born Aug. 9, 1932, in New York City, N.Y., the son of Warden McKee Wilson and his wife Janice (nee Foss). He was the grandson of Wilson Perkins Foss and Henry Lane Wilson, who was the ambassador to Chile, Mexico and Belgium. Mr. Wilson was a 1955 graduate of Yale University, where he was a member of St. Anthony Hall, and the School Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania in 1960. He also attended Aiken Preparatory School and the Asheville School.
Mr. Wilson was employed as an architect by Martin Stewart Noble and Class of Philadelphia. An avid horse enthusiast, he enjoyed horse racing and three-day eventing.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his daughter, Rosemary Wilson and her husband W. Patrick Johnson of West Chester, Pa.; his son, Anthony Wilson and his wife Dolly of Stoneham, Mass.; his niece, Cynthia Dillard and nephews, David Walker and Eric Walker, all of South Carolina.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at 11:15 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 212 S. High St., West Chester, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, P.O. Box 96010, Washington, DC 20090 would be appreciated.
