Louise P. Gaddy
CLINTON -- Mrs. Louise P. Gaddy, 85, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009 in Clinton.
Interment will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Aiken Memorial Gardens, followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Dr. David Cozad will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall.
Mrs. Gaddy was born in La Fayette, Ala., a daughter of the late John and Irene Stewart Parker. She was a former school teacher and was one of the first two lady elders at First Presbyterian Church in Aiken. She also taught Sunday School. She moved to Clinton in March 2001.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Rufus H. Gaddy; two sons, Roger (Beth) Gaddy, M.D. of Winnsboro and Donald (Raye) Gaddy of Birmingham, Ala.; four grandchildren, Bryant L. Gaddy Byrne, M.D., Parker M. Gaddy, Jeffrey R. Gaddy and Jaclyn E. Gaddy; and a sister-in-law, Bobbie Rhinehart Parker of Montgomery, Ala.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Louise Gaddy Walker, and a grandson, Robert Kyle Walker, M.D.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church, 224 Barnwell Ave., Aiken, SC 29801, or the Presbyterian Home, 801 Musgrove Street, Clinton, SC 29325.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at the Presbyterian Home in Clinton for the care and attention given to their mother and wife.
