C.J. Spiller for Heisman
Wouldn't a Heisman Trophy look nice on the campus of Clemson University?
It would go well with the national championship hardware Clemson already has, and a strong case can be made for C.J. Spiller to win this year's honor as top college football player.
Spiller is closing in on 2,000 all-purpose yards this season - something he should easily eclipse in Saturday's game against Virginia. He has scored 14 touchdowns and thrown for another. He has scored in almost every imaginable way - rushing, receiving, punt return and kickoff return. He is a threat to score every time he touches the ball and has caused more ulcers in opposing defensive coordinators than any other player.
In a year when other Heisman likelies have not performed to expectation, Spiller has risen to the top and put himself in position to be proclaimed the best of the best. We give our nod to C.J. Spiller. We just hope that the Heisman voters will do the same.
