Warrants have been issued for a Williston man linked to three grand larcenies in the area that were reported in late September.

Julian Q. Gavin, 34, of 5482 Charleston Highway in Williston, is wanted for three counts of grand larceny.

Investigators said the 34-year-old man is a suspect in other burglaries in the area, but they have linked him to at least three involving the theft of lawn equipment.

Gavin is currently out on bond.

Gavin was arrested in February on forgery charges, according to a records check.

According to arrest warrants, the thefts were reported on Sept. 21 at Centerwood Road in Windsor, Old Barnwell Road in Windsor and Weeks Road in Williston.

At the Centerwood Road location, mowers valued at $1,600 were reported as stolen from the victim's backyard.

Investigators found fresh foot tracks and tire tracks left by the stolen riding lawn mower.

At the Old Barnwell Road location, a 40-inch riding lawn mower valued at more than $1,000 was reported as stolen.

At the Weeks Road address, a 42-inch riding lawn mower valued at more than $1,000 was reported as stolen.

Gavin has a criminal arrest history that includes a number of property crime arrests, according to a records check.

Anyone with information about this subject is asked to contact the Aiken County Sheriff's Office at (800) 922-9709.

Individuals also should call CrimeStoppers of the Midlands at (888) CRIME-SC. Callers can remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of between $50 and $1,000.
