Security Federal Bank and South Carolina artist Jim Harrison have made a signed version of The 2010 Coca-Cola Calendar and the Coastal Pathways Calendar for 2010 available for purchase through the end of January 2010.

Proceeds from the sale of these calendars will benefit the Anne Harrison Scholarship Fund at USC Aiken in memory of the artist's late mother.

The 14th calendar in the Coca-Cola series, it is 11-by-13 inches and features 12 full-color images appropriately arranged to match the seasons of the year.

Throughout the calendar, the nostalgic images are created around a Coca-Cola trademark of years past.

"The Coca-Cola trademark has been a big part of my life for many years," Harrison said. "I painted Coca-Cola wall bulletins through high school and college and have used it in over 80 major paintings during my art career. It remains near and dear to my heart and creates a certain excitement with every new painting."

The coastal calendar also features 12 color images of the Southern coast.

"We are excited to be partnering with USC Aiken again this year in a program that supports our nationally recognized university," said Security Federal Bank President Chris Verenes. "The calendars are very popular with our customers and have the added benefit of supporting education in Aiken County. I would encourage everyone to show their support of our outstanding university by purchasing a 2010 Jim Harrison calendar."

Harrison, a licensed artist of The Coca-Cola Co., received a Merit Award for the calendar series in the Calendar Marketing Association's annual National Calendar Awards competition.

He has had one-man shows at the prominent Hammer Galleries in New York and the Conacher Gallery in San Francisco.

His works have also been included in annual shows at the National Academy Gallery in New York.

The signed and numbered calendars are $20 each or $35 for both and are available only at Security Federal Bank branches.

For more information on works by Harrison, call his gallery at (800) 793-5796.
