Battle of Bands finalists chosen
Eliminations have been made and the final competition is intense.
Ten bands have been selected from 19 entries to battle for first place in the Aiken Standard's Battle of the Bands on Friday, April 16 at 6 p.m. at the USC Aiken Convocation Center. Local bands competing in the battle include a wide variety of music genres from Southern rock to contemporary Christian.
The 10 finalists are All Will Be Won, Against City Ordinance, Aurora Australis, Avalanche, Firing Blind, Loco, Mage Invasion, McKenna, Midnight Crossing and Necessary Evil. Special entertainment will be performed by Jason Sikes.
The winner will be selected by the audience.
Tickets are on sale for $12 at the USC Aiken Convocation Center box office and the Aiken Standard. Call 648-2311 for more information. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the United Way of Aiken County.
