Kenneth Jason Dukes, 31, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at his residence.
A native and lifelong resident of Aiken, Jason was a son of Vicki Heilig Dukes and Kenneth Michael Dukes. He was of the Baptist faith and loved music and writing poetry.
Survivors include his mother and father, both of Aiken; a brother, Michael Ryan Dukes of Beech Island; and his paternal grandparents, Vera B. and Ernest Kenneth Dukes of Aiken.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home, with Chaplain Ken Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rod Brant, Christopher H. Cowell, Kenneth R. Eubanks, Daniel E. Smith Jr., Daniel E. Smith III, Zac Buckner and Jeff L. Dukes.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Shepherd Center Foundation, 2020 Peachtree Road NW, Atlanta, GA 30309 (shepherd.org).
