BAYTOWN, Texas -- Erika S. Folk, 83, longtime resident of Aiken, passed away Monday, May 12, 2008, in Baytown, Texas, where she had resided since leaving the area. She was born in Rehau, Germany, on May 19, 1924, to Karl and Anna (Sammet) Strobel. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Folk, in 1971, and is survived by her loving children, John W. "Jack" Folk and wife Julia of Shelby, N.C., Amy Smith and husband Barry of Baytown, Texas, and Sally Anne Burr and husband Ron of Beaufort, S.C.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
