Wyman Lester Powell

Mr. Wyman Lester Powell, 69, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at University Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Lighthouse Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Marion Britton officiating. Interment will be held privately. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service and also following the service.
Mr. Powell was born in Aiken, a son of the late Frank Russell and Eunice Stewart Powell. He was the owner of the Aiken RV Park, a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Lydia Marie (David) Weathersbee of Jackson; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Russell Marshall (Barbara) Powell of West Lafayette, Ind.; a special friend, Millie Griffin; and two stepchildren, four stepgrandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren from a previous marriage.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Lighthouse Baptist Church Migrant Mission Fund, 2150 Columbia Highway N., Aiken, S.C. 29801.
