Squirrels are destructive

The lady in the gated upscale community who thinks squirrels are a joy is sadly misinformed.
Squirrels are tree rodents (rats) and as such can carry diseases. Their incisors grow continually and therefore they must gnaw on things to keep the teeth short. Nothing in your yard or on your house is safe from these destructive tree rats. Siding, fence posts, sprinkler heads, gutters, garden vegetation, lawn furniture, electrical wires and cables, wood trim, etc., are just a few of their items of destruction.
The damage they cause can be very costly to a homeowner. If they find their way into a transformer the lights can go out for a whole community.
Many folks use them as a food source. I can't think of a more joyous end to these destructive rodents.
