Mr. Freddie Lee Croft Sr., 63, of 1443 Redd St., Aiken, departed this life on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at 1 p.m. at the Jackson-Brooks Memorial Chapel, Aiken, with Rev. Aaron Woodard officiating. Mr. Croft was a native of Aiken and attended the Aiken County Public School System. He was a retired employee of the City of Aiken. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice H. Croft, and his son, Jeffery Maurice Croft. Survivors include four daughters, Leslie Croft of Aiken, Ora (Johnny) Shivers of Charleston, Monique Scott of New York, N.Y., and Lisa Jenkins of Jacksonville, Fla.; four sons, Gardell (Lorraine) Harley, Freddie Croft Jr., Christopher Croft and Calvin Council, all of Aiken; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a devoted partner, Renee Scott; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call at his residence or at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home beginning at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
