Mrs. Emmie C. Brown, 70, of 701 Cushman Drive, entered into rest Nov. 5, 2009, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Funeral arrangements will be announced.
Mrs. Brown was a member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, Trenton, and a member of Eastern Star, Tau Gamma Delta and served on the Usher Ministry. She was a graduate of Bettis Academy and Allen University. She retired as an educator in 1984 from local public schools.
Survivors include two sons, Clarence (Christine) Brown Jr. and Thomas (Denise) Brown, both of Aiken; three sisters, Edna (Matthew) Wright of Georgetown, Gladys Alexander of New York City, N.Y., and Bernice Taylor of Aiken; two grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
Family and friends may call the residence.
