I will vote for Scott Singer in the District 81 Republican primary. Singer is the best candidate because of his extensive background and his excellent record on County Council.
Singer has been a U.S. Treasury agent receiving the Meritorious Achievement Award for the effective and efficient operation of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and a senior banking executive for over 20 years. He's chairman of the South Carolina Association of Community Development Corporations and former Chairman of the State Red Cross and Affordable Housing Coalition of SC Investor's Council. This is the kind of experience we need in Columbia.
Locally, Scott Singer has an enviable record of community involvement. He's been president of the Aiken Kiwanis Club, Chapter Chairman of the American Red Cross and a former board member at both Helping Hands and St. Mary's School.
Singer's record on the Aiken County Council is similarly outstanding. He's championed fiscal responsibility and quality of life issues. Singer knows that economic growth doesn't have to mar the character of our community, as he's supported both the Center for Hydrogen Research and the new Land Management Ordinance. He's been a tireless advocate for new road projects. He successfully opposed powerful special interests in the TIF controversy a few years ago. Singer is a true friend to the taxpayers.
Scott Singer is a proven leader. Aiken needs Scott Singer in the State House.
