Mr. Herbert Williams and Ms. Janet Toney of Johnson announce the engagement of their daughter, Shareffa Saleh Miles of Johnston, to Marcus Jerome Harris of Edgefield, a son of Ms. Gloria Flynn of Edgefield. The wedding is planned for May 24, 2008, in Aiken.
The bride-elect is a maternal granddaughter of Mrs. Betty Wright of New York City, N.Y., and a paternal granddaughter of the late Ms. Jestine Williams and the late Mr. Wade Collins of Aiken. She is a 2001 graduate of Strom Thurmond High School. She is a future graduate of the University of South Carolina Aiken with a degree in exercise and sports science. She is employed by the One Stop at Aiken Technical College as an administrative assistant.
The bridegroom-elect is a maternal grandson of Mrs. Lillie Mae Harris and Mr. Robert Harris of Trenton. He is a 2000 graduate of Strom Thurmond High School. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina Aiken with a degree in biology. He is employed by the Department of Health and Environmental Control as an environmentalist.
