April Dawn Edge of Roswell, Ga., and Ryan Stephen Lawson of Roswell, Ga., were married May 10, 2008, in Atlanta, Ga. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Charles Edge. The Rev. William Marshall Brock, cousin of the bride, officiated.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. Charles Edge and Debbie McKinney of Spartanburg. She is a granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Talbert and Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Edge.
The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Lawson Jr. of Aiken. He is a grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William S. Jones and Col. (ret.) and Mrs. George A. Lawson Sr.
Miss Kelli Lee Donald of Woodruff was the maid of honor. Jarvis Henry Jones of Columbia was the man of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Nicole Lynn Asmussen of Brandon, Fla., friend of the bride; Miss Annamaria Downey of Des Moines, Wash., friend of the bride; and Mrs. Marguerite Grace Kriz of Jacksonville, Fla., friend of the bride.
Dr. Gregory Asbury Lawson III of Nashville, Tenn., brother of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Jay Barrett Gillespie of Greenville, friend of the groom; and Mr. Scott Simpson Roberts of Tampa, Fla., friend of the groom.
Mr. George Asbury Lawson Jr. of Aiken, father of the groom, served as the usher.
Following a reception at The Vinings Club of Atlanta, the couple left for a wedding trip to St. Lucia.
They will reside in Roswell, Ga.
The bride is a graduate of Clemson University. She is a graduate of Florida State University with a master's degree in child psychology. She is employed by Gwinnett County Schools in Atlanta as a child psychologist.
The bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of South Aiken High School. He is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in industrial management. He is employed by Atlanta-HIDTA.
