Triple Crown to come to close with Pacers and Polo

The final jewel of the Aiken Triple Crown will take place this Saturday at the Powderhouse Fields.
The Pacers and Polo game will not only provide spectators with the exhilarating end-to-end action that's part of one of Aiken's most popular sports, but the contest also benefits the USC Aiken athletics department and is the largest fundraiser the Pacer Club is involved with, according to Randy Warrick, USC Aiken athletic director.
Burger King continued its dominance in last year's game by erasing a 3-1 deficit after three chukkers of play and defeated Biddle Realty 7-5.
Burger King has won four consecutive games in the series. In addition to the competitive contest, last year's match established a new attendance record.
The gates are scheduled to open at 11 a.m. with game time scheduled for 1:30 p.m. General admission parking is $5 and a game program will be included.
General admission tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children in advance, and $10 for adults and $5 for children at the gate.
The 2008 Pacers and Polo game will once again have a VIP hospitality tent. The cost of the ticket is $60 per person and includes lunch, beverages, parking and admission to the event.
The lunch will be catered by Outback Steakhouse and will be served beginning at noon.
